Community builder, social media enthusiast, creative strategist

People's experiences are paramount to Sumner.

She is a creative strategist who approaches her work from the unique perspective of having been both the engager and the engaged to dial into what the full end-to-end experience of Jewish programming is.

Combining her background in community building and program management with her love for the internet, Sumner supports Jewish organizations in being their best selves online and finding their audience in young Jews.

She has previously worked in various roles at the URJ, Dayenu, Ammud: The Jews of Color Torah Academy, Hey Alma, Trybal Gatherings, and Upstart.

Self described as chronically online, she has created internet challenges to promote campaigns, produced vertical video segments that increased weekly engagement, ghostwritten captivating content, grown followings, and connected audiences to meaningful programming.

Her pursuits outside the Jewish world include musical theatre, performing around New York City (and the world) at venues such as 54 Below and Don't Tell Mama, and being a content creator in her own right.
